Case Study/
Maidscross Hill
Maidscross Hill is a local nature reserve in Suffolk which is located very close to a village primary school. The brief on this project was to design and produce a series of “activity posts” which could be installed around the reserve and which the school could use as the focus for outdoor lessons.

We designed and manufactured a total of 10 different posts, all produced in Douglas fir and featuring attractive designs with both routed and printed graphics. The topics covered included photosynthesis, food chains, mini-beasts, birds, camouflage, butterflies, flowers, soil, rabbits, trees etc. and for each post we developed
a set of teachers’ notes with suggested activities and projects based around those topics.
